Angell & Crane – Self Titled 

Over six days in the studio, Angell and Crane engaged in deep improvisation sessions, joined by alto saxophonist Charlotte Greve and vocalist Sarah Rossy. Capturing over 40 hours of material with an intricate setup of microphones and inputs to preserve the full spatial and textural depth of the performances, the project became an immersive exploration of sound. The resulting work is a distilled 40-minute composition that transforms raw, spontaneous expression into a finely sculpted listening experience.The Art & Video world was inspired by their energetic sound coupled with a late summer obsession with Montreal’s unreal blooms, namely the peonies and roses of Verdun. Shot with VHS and 8mm film.
