All about Marketing – Part 2

In marketing, we will recognize about pricing. It is called discriminatory pricing in which the same product can be sold in different prize based on different condition. There are 5 types of discriminatory pricing, such as customer segment pricing, product form pricing, location pricing, time pricing, and image pricing.

Customer segment pricing has the example of pricing for the airplanes ticket that is difference in price for child and adult. For product form pricing is a pricing that the box of a product also have selling values. Location pricing stresses on the same product which have different places if we buy in different location. For time pricing, the price is different for each unusual event, such as holiday, etc. The last one is image pricing which we can find famous product that can be sold in a high price, such as brands crocs etc.

After pricing, marketing staffs also need some promotional mix which can help them to promote their products, such as TV commercial, billboard, radio casting, and newspaper. The other ways of promoting can be also from leaflet, brochures, sponsorship and many others promotional program. It can be also by the way of direct selling. All of the combination can perfectly make some great promotional methods which allow the consumers to be attracted and consume the product for sure.
